A Two Day SupervisionWorkshop in Munich

This extraordinary Supervision Training will be held for 21 participants, who are interested in intensive exploration of Self-Relations Psychotherapy and hypnosis. Dr. Gilligan´s groups are renowned for their ability to generate a safe ritual space so that both the technical and personal aspects of doing therapeutic work can be explored.

While the supervision will involve some didactic material as well as group processes, the primary focus will be on work in the middle of the group, where participants will be in the roles of therapists and clients, with Dr. Gilligan as the supervisor. Special attention is given to how the therapist and client work in parallel process within a relational field, so that a deep experiential-somatic-cognitive conversation may develop .

Dr. Gilligan´s groups around the world have become legendary for their capacity to nurture and awaken the deeper presence within themselves and others.


About Stephen Gilligan, Ph.D.


Stephen Gilligan,Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist practicing in Encinitas, California. Stephen was among the group of students that gathered around the founders of NLP during its formation at UC Santa Cruz from 1974-1977.

Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson became his teachers and mentors .After receiving his doctorate in psychology from Stanford University, Stephen became one of the premier teachers and practitioners of Ericksonian hypnotherapy. Motivated by his experiences as a therapist, a teacher, and by his own quest, he developed a new practice of radical awakening incorporating Ericksonian psychotherapy,Aikido,Buddhism, meditation and the performance arts.

His work, known as Self-Relations Psychotherapy, reconnects mindbody processes and encourages and supports radical change. The cornerstone of SR is the understandings and processes of sponsorship.

The enthusiastic acceptance of Sponsorship and Self-Sponsorship as approaches to therapy and personal change, along with Stephen´s transformative presentation style, has led to speaking tours, workshops, and numerous Sponsorship groups all over the world to which Stephen provides inspiration and Supervision.

Since his early days in Neuro-Linguistic Programming when Bandler and Grinder dedicated a book to him as “ one of the worlds greatest hypnotherapists” , Dr. Gilligan has consistently emphasized and demonstrated the generative nature of mental process and somatic awareness in each person´s life.
